Ticketing Information

Buying tickets online:

Please click here to buy tickets. No booking fee!

When you buy a ticket online you will be emailed an e-ticket from Yapsody, our ticketing provider. For individual event tickets, this will be your ticket for entry in to the event; for season tickets you will need to exchange this printout for a wristband during the festival. To do this you can go to any main festival venue* during the weekend of Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd April. You will not be sent a physical ticket through the post.

Which type of ticket should I buy?

If you are planning on being in Oxford all weekend, and would like the chance to pop in and out of different events, then a WEEKEND SEASON TICKET is your best option. Season tickets don't guarantee entry to any particular event though, so if there is something you very much want to see we recommend getting there early. It's quite rare that people don't get in to a concert *at all*, although sometimes you may have to wait for a few people to leave. We don't oversell our main venue, so as long as you arrive in plenty of time for the start of the concert (note, not necessarily the artist you want to see as tickets are sold for the concert as a whole) then there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get in.

If there are one or two artists you are absolutely desperate to see, and you know you only want to go to those concerts, then buy an INDIVIDUAL EVENT TICKET. Individual ticket holders are guaranteed entry to that event, regardless of what time you arrive at the venue.

If you fall in to the second category, but think you'd like to buy a Season ticket in order to support the festival - firstly, thank you! Secondly, it's actually much easier for us to manage things if we know people have bought the ticket type that matches what they want to do at the weekend. We'd hate for you to miss out on something you want to see. We absolutely do need your support, but would advise you head over to the Friends page, and have a look at our various memberships and the opportunities they offer.

Buying tickets at the festival:

At the festival you will be able to buy tickets and collect your wristband from ANY MAIN FESTIVAL VENUE. This means when you arrive at the festival you can head straight to your preferred event, and collect your wristband when you get there. You'll also be able to buy tickets for ANY concert or ceilidh FROM ANY VENUE right up until doors open for that particular concert.

*Main festival venues are: Oxford Deaf & Hard of hearing Centre, Wesley Memorial Church, St Barnabas Church, St Columba's Church, Quaker Meeting House, and St Aldates Tavern (Blue Room). See map for locations.

Season tickets allow entry to all Folk Weekend: Oxford events during the festival weekend (or day, for day season tickets), subject to venue capacity.

Additional information:

The number of season tickets we sell is based on the capacity of our main concert venue. We do not oversell this venue.

Season ticket holders are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes before the published start time of a concert, as we will be putting any remaining seats on sale at that time.

Please note that a season ticket does not guarantee entry to any individual event, and you are advised to arrive early if there is something you wish to see.

We regret that we are unable to refund or exchange tickets. We reserve the right to alter the programme at any time. Please note we can only accept cash or cheque during the festival weekend.

For enquiries during festival weekend please speak to the stewards at the ticket desk in any venue, who will direct you to someone who can help. For ticketing enquiries prior to the festival please contact Yapsody directly, as they sell all tickets on our behalf.

Concession rates apply to Over 60s, Job Seekers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Full time student/NUS, but if you are not in one of those groups and you feel you need a concession in order to attend the festival please get in touch with us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Children under five are free to all events. Children under 12 are free to all events when accompanied by an adult season ticket holder. (I.e. if adults are buying individual event tickets for an event children will need a ticket at the concession rate.)

If you need a carer ticket please get in touch with Coral on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Our policy on carer tickets is that you can have whatever you need in order to be able to access the festival. For example, if you need two full time carers to get out and about, then you can have two tickets. If you have a disability but don't require a carer to travel with you then you would not be entitled to a carers ticket.
