We are hugely grateful to our team of volunteers who do that little bit extra to help make sure Folk Weekend happens each year - they are a hard-working, committed group of people and we could not do it without them!
The FW Committee operates in three sub-teams: Artistic, Logistic, and Financial. Each sub-team has different working patterns, and arranges their own meetings as necessary, in person or by Skype. The whole committee will meet once or twice per year, usually in the early summer to debrief (and celebrate!) from the festival, and in early April, to finalise plans prior to the festival.
As a committee member you are entitled to tickets to the festival for yourself and your family, and you can claim travel expenses for coming to meetings and to the festival.
If you're interested in joining us then please have a look at the current committee vacancies below, or email Cat on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We are often looking for people who are happy to muck in with general admin and legwork, as well as filling specific roles.

In normal times we are always delighted to welcome Morris dancers to Folk Weekend, who perform in the streets and at fantastic locations across the City centre including the Botanic Gardens and the Ashmolean Museum. Things are a litte different at the moment, but Morris will return. For more information, go to our Morris page.
